A Whirlwind Start To 2016

After an extremely busy Christmas season at Shreddies we quickly turned our attentions to the trade show season. Within the first 6 weeks of each new year sees two of the biggest trade shows in the UK open their doors.

The first trade show - Top Drawer is held in London Olympia, normally on the 2nd or 3rd weekend of January. With over 950 companies showcasing their products it is a busy, vibrant trade show. It's easy to see why it attracts thousands of business owners and buyers from all over the UK.

With an array of gifts, home, stationary & children's goods on offer, the buyers have a lot to get around in a short amount of time.

There is a great sense of camaraderie between stand staff, who by the end of the show feel more like neighbours or friends than 'just the staff on stand M47'.

One of my favorite stands was one that made and sold toy cars and planes.

Some of which were leaving Top Drawer on the Tuesday and heading for a trade show in Paris on Wednesday, it seems like a never ending cycle for some businesses to win new customers and forge new business links.

Thankfully we have a two week 'breather' between Top Drawer and Spring Fair which is held at The NEC in Birmingham between 7th Feb - 11th Feb.

I could not organise a trade show without the help of several staff members who work at Cotes Mill for various companies including Shreddies, deVOL Kitchens & The Pink Pantaloon Company. In no particular order a big thank you to - Huw, Tim, Katy, Dee, Zoe, Helen, Scarlett, Letty, Phil & Becky.
