Bright Lights - Big City

I've been obsessed with large cities since I was little. Being lucky enough to live just over an hour away from London means I get to visit at least a couple of times each year.

This weekend I went to FriendsFest at Haggerston Park in London, a whole event dedicated to one of the most popular television programmes of the 90's/00's. It had everything from Monica's apartment to a replica Central Perk.

We spent hours going between attractions getting lots of pictures and joining in the fun. Below is probably the only picture of me in a wedding dress that's ever going to exist. My wife probably didn't think I'd do it when she dared me, but it made her laugh when I went through with it!

From Haggerston we headed to Camden to check out the amazing markets and food stalls at KERB. The choice of food on offer is out of this world. I've never seen so much variety in one place! We also popped into the award winning Chin Chin Labs ice cream shop which has to be seen to be believed.

They make the tastiest ice cream in London by using liquid nitrogen. This results in a velvety smooth ice cream with no ice crystals. The inside of the shop looks like a kitchen landed in a science laboratory but it is well worth checking out if you're anywhere near Camden.

We also found time to visit theatre land to watch Wicked, my descriptive powers cannot do this show justice, It's simply amazing! A must for all theatre fans.

Finally we went on a cruise down the Thames, which at dusk is a brilliant way to view London and the many landmarks either side of the river.
