CORFU

Having just returned from a holiday on the beautiful island of Corfu, I couldn't wait to share some holiday pictures with you all.

We stayed in the most incredible villa in the mountains of Nissaki, a small, quiet coastal village in the north east of the island. Our villa was decorated with quirky, old-fashioned decor but it was the view that really amazed us - it was incredible! The balcony of our villa looked out the small harbour of Nissaki and in the distance you could see the coastline of Corfu town on the right and Albania on the left - the perfect spot for a lazy breakfast!

One of the highlights of the holiday for me was driving up the hair raising, windy roads to the highest point in Corfu - Mount Pantokrator. At 906 metres above sea level the views were incredible and the journey well worth it, we were surprised our hired Nissan Micra managed to make it to the top!

One of the best things about Greece is the food! Being a self confessed foodie I was so excited to try some of the Greek cuisine as it was my first time visiting and I had heard so many great things about it. Being greedy, I barely took any photos of my food as I was too busy eating... but I loved a diet of Tzatziki, Feta Cheese, Saganaki and many meat dishes including Lamb Kleftiko and Beef Sofrito. Most of the restaurants we went to were based in the most incredible locations including one in particular that was my favourite. Taverna Agni first opened in 1972 when it was opened by Charilaos and Aphrodite who's family still run the Taverna today. To get there, we were picked up at Nissaki harbour in their own water taxi which sails you over the restaurant and returns you at the end of the night.

We were able to visit the majority of the island because it's so small, from Palaiokastritsa to Kassiopi to Corfu Town and we even took a boat out so we could explore more of the coastline! The sea was so incredibly clear that it was like standing in an aquarium, you could see so much sealife swimming around!

I would definitely recommend visiting Corfu as it was honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
