We are very excited at Shreddies HQ about today being #NationBurgerDay, so excited in fact that we thought we would create a list of the best burgers that we have ever had! Read on for some serious food envy...
In at number 10 we have Annie's Burger Shack, Nottingham.
The owner of this super cool joint grew up in New England, down the road from one of the first diners, so it's safe to say she knows her stuff when it comes to creating burgers! Combined with her love of Real Ale, Annie's is the perfect place for a burger and a beer! Our favourite: The North Carolina.
Now spanning 19 restaurants across the UK, it's a great feeling knowing there's always a Handmade Burger close by! Known for their Fresh Food Philosophy, HBC are proud of the fresh ingredients that go into all of their creations. Our favourite: New York Deli.
If you can't decide which burger to go for, it's best to get a couple (or more!) and there's nowhere better than Sliders Bar! Located in the super cool Dalston Yard, home to the best street food in London you'll be spoilt for choice! Our favourite: Bacon Cheeseburger.
In at number 7 is The Garrick Arms, Leicester Square.
If you're looking for great British pub food then this is your place, but our personal favourite is the burgers! Located in central London, it's the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some great food! Our favourite: Dirty Burger.
At Number 6 we have RUB Smokehouse and Bar, Nottingham.
With their roots firmly set in the south of the USA, their selection of Burgers are probably some of the craziest, best tasting burgers you will ever eat! If you haven't seen the video of their Homer Homage Burger yet, we recommend you do but we have to warn you it may leave you salivating at your desk! Our favourite: The 51st State.
Number 5 is the incredible Chuck Burgers, Commercial Street.
With the idea of bringing their favourite American food home, the creators of Chuck Burger have created an American style menu using fresh British ingredients. So, for some serious foodie heaven make sure you check it out - they also have an amazing cocktail menu! Our favourite: Chilli Cheese Burger.
Loughborough's coolest (and best) burger bar! Meet Burger's industrial style interior, nostalgic touches, incredible shakes and juicy burgers make up our favourite after-work hangout spot. I recommend you check out the video of their latest wing challenge, you may see some familiar faces... Our favourite: The Big Cheese.
Number 3 is the incredible Bleecker St Burger, Spitalfields.
Opening in 2012 Bleecker St Burger started in an old food truck - you may even still see the matt black van driving around or popping up at festivals! Bleecker St Burgers like to keep it simple, their burgers are all about the quality of the meat, paired with a simple sesame bun, burger sauce and good old american cheese - there's nothing unnecessary. Our favourite: Bacon Cheeseburger & Angry Fries.
Just missing out on the top spot at number 2 is everyone's favourite fast food burger Five Guys.
Five Guys started in 1986 by the Murrell brothers, they serve only hand formed burgers and peanut oil cooked fries, the burger joint gained a lot of press and a big following. They offer free toppings on every burger, and you have over 250,000 different burger combinations to choose from, there's something for everyone and it tastes so good! Our favourite: Cheeseburger
And in at number 1 *drum roll* Reds True BBQ, Nottingham.
A firm favourite within the Shreddies team and a crucial part of the Nottingham food scene. Reds BBQ has the most incredible menu from wings to steak to the most amazing burgers, it's all about 'low & slow' meat for these guys! Our favourite: Donut Burger.
